The annual Van Allen Insurance BBQ for Cystic Fibrosis is making its return this Thursday.
The bbq which started back in 2013 has been successful drawing in a crowd with the support of the community and local businesses donating goods.
The bbq as usual will be held at Van Allen Insurance on Elma Street with support coming from McIntosh Farms, Dairy Queen and raffle prizes from Ayr Farmers Mutural and Belfor Property Restoration.
Shane Van Allen says contributing to Cystic Fibrosis over these last few years, a cause very close to him and his family its been great to see those results.
“The progress within the research that they do has created drugs which allow those with CF to live almost symptom free which looking back when we first caught word of this disease back in 2012, this has come so far that it’s an easy cause for us to get behind and rally for because you see the progress year to year” said Van Allen.
The annual BBQ at Van Allen Insurance takes place on Thursday going from 11am-1:30pm.
