The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority is warning the public about the hazardous conditions near bodies of water at this time of the season.
While some areas along the watershed are still slightly frozen, the sudden change with warmer weather and more showers is seeing a sharp change in conditions.
Over the season frozen flood control reservoirs, ponds and other water bodies on UTRCA property is not monitored for the purpose of winter recreation and may not be safe and the ice conditions can change rapidly with the swap in temperature and rain.
