The Upper Thames River Conservation is encouraging the public to get their thoughts in on changes for Ontario’s Conservation Authorities.
The provincial government has brought forward plans to consolidate the 36 conservation authorities into 7 regional authorities and the creation of the Ontario Provincial Conservation Agency to lead and oversee the new regional authorities.
Locally this would mean the UTRCA would join seven other conservation authorities and serve the Lake Erie Regional Conservation Authority which would include 81 municipalities.
Public feedback is being accepted until December 22nd.
