North Perth has responded to a cybersecurity incident which occurred on Tuesday.
In a statement, the municipality says once they became aware of what was going on staff took steps to secure the systems including taking some offline to stop any further unauthorized access.
The municipality is working alongside cybersecurity experts to contain the issue and restore systems.
Investigation is in early stages and if any personal or sensitive information is affected those involved will be contacted.
