EQAO test results has shown Wellington County students are preforming pretty close to the provincial average.

School boards use use the results as a guide for where they need to focus their resources and help students when it comes to math, reading and writing.

Students with the Upper Grand District School Board showed in grade 3, 57 per cent of students scored a level 3 or 4 in math with 70 per cent in reading and 63 per cent in writing, falling just short of the average in 73 in reading and 65 in writing.

For grade 6 students were above the average in math which is 50 per cent in Ontario with students scoring 53 per cent with 86 per cent in reading and 85 per cent in writing, both above the average.
