Mapleton Township has received a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to be used for upgrades at the ball diamond and concession facilities in Drayton.
The projects for the $234,000 grant will include installing new outdoor field lighting at Drayton’s “B” diamond, addition of surfacing the ball diamond infields and warning tracks, replacement of wood on the bleachers and replacing the dugout benches on the “A” diamond.
Drayton’s “B” diamond is the only diamond across Mapleton which doesn’t have lighting.
