Wellington County OPP is reminding dog owners of their responsibility under the Dog Owners Liability Act following an incident involving two unleashed dogs at a park.
On August 9th, OPP responded to a report of a child who was bitten by an unleashed dog at a park off Bricker Avenue in Elora.
The child was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
While police still continue to investigate, residents are reminded under the liability act the owner of a dog shall exercise all precautions to prevent any incidents and could be liable if the dog attacks another person or domestic animal.
