United Way Perth Huron has announced a new Living Wage.
The Living Wage is calculated to show how much a worker needs to earn per hour to make ends meet where they live.
The new Living Wage has been set to $23.05 an hour.
This is up from $22.75 last year.
Ryan Erb, United Way Perth Huron Executive Director says that $10 a day childcare is helping slow pressure on wages but food and housing costs are major stressors for those financially. There are 37 certified employers in Perth and Huron who pay a Living Wage.
