Ahead of the kick off on Friday, United Way Perth-Huron has announced new campaign chairs.
St Marys councilor Rob Edney and his wife Leslie will be co-chairs for this year’s fundraiser. The pair take over for Martin Ritsma and his wife Kathryn who were part of United Way’s past campaigns over the last three years.
The Ritsmas will still be a part of United Way as Martin will be chairing for United Way Stratford and Areas Community committee.
Rob Edney and Leslie say they are very excited to be supporting the campaign beyond fundraising efforts for United Way.
The campaign launch will take place tomorrow as they unveil their fundraising goal for the year with an announcement on Facebook at 12:30pm.
Last years campaign raised a total of $1.9 million.
