Two suspects arrested in Store Theft in Mapleton

Vehicle was located with stolen items and quantity of drugs

On April 7th at approximately 11:30am the Wellington County OPP received a report of a theft from a business located on Wellington Road 8 in Drayton.

At approximately 9 am, two suspects entered the store and store some Dewalt product power tools and cordless tool batteries.

On April 13th at approximately 10pm Wellington County OPP responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Sideroad 10 North in Puslinch Township.

It was reported that police located an unoccupied vehicle which contained a quantity of drugs believed to be methamphetamines and stolen property.

As a result of the investigation a 34 year old male and 33 year old female both of Puslinch Township have been charged with theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of identity documents and possession of a schedule 1 substance methamphetamine.

In addition the male has also been charge with failure to comply with probation order.

Both accused are set to appear at an Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph at a later date to answer to the charges.
