Two Saved from Tractor During Flash Flood

A tractor which was left stranded from a flash flood near the Maitland River saw two residents be saved.

On March 6th just before 1pm Huron County OPP received a distress call from two people stranded in rising waters near Fern Hurst Glen Lane in Central Huron.

The pair was on their tractor and found themselves surrounded by cold and fast moving water.

Police attended with scene with fellow emergency services where an inflatable boat was used to save both residents.

Both were treated at a local hospital as a precaution.
