Two Ministers in Premier Doug Fords cabinet are speaking out on the purchase of land in Wilmot Township.
The Region of Waterloo has been eyeing the purchase of 770 acres in Wilmot to be used for future industrial use which over this time the region has been quiet on what specifically the land would be used for.
Kitchener-Conestoga MPP and Minister of Red Tape Reduction Mike Harris and Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade Vic Fedeli in a joint statement say there has been a lack of transparency by Waterloo.
The statement says its the sole responsibility of the region to assemble the site and work with all affect communities and skateholders.
Last month, The Fight for Farmland group filed 21 Freedom of Information Requests with 18 being denied and the remaining 3 given no record.
