The Township of North Huron has made an update to its flag policy regarding flying alternative flags.

The policy applies for flags in the township to be flown and displayed at municipal facilities.

The policy on flying alternative flags includes a statement on the township refusing to fly flags of groups or philosophies which are not contrary to the Township of North Huron’s policies or bylaws outlining hatred, violence or racism or are politically or religiously motivated.

North Huron decided to make a review of their flag policy several months back after facing backlash when they chose not to fly a pride flag for the month of June.
