The Town of Minto has announced that as part of the Year of the Garden Celebration in the Town they are inviting residents to compete in a Tallest Sunflower Competition.
They advise planting the seeds now, nurturing your sunflower through the summer, and seeing how your tallest stacks up in September.
The Town says it could be a fun summer project for children, but gardeners of any age are encouraged to participate.
Judging will take place on Saturday, September 10th at 9 am at the Minto Farmers Market.
To participate just register and pick up your seeds at the Town of Minto Office.
