The Town of Erin is taking steps to protect green assets, promote climate resilience and community well being.
Last week council endorsed the Tree Protection Policy providing a clear and consistent expectations for conserving and replacing trees involved in municipal projects and development activities.
The policy establishes trees as essential green infrastructure and prioritizes maintaining them wherever possible.
Mayor Michael Dehn says through education and outreach, Erin’s local trees will remain at the forefront of conversations around growth and development.
