When a community gets together to raise funds for its betterment, its always shaped up to be an event to be enjoyed by all and that’s exactly what s on the dock in March in Harriston.
Once again, the Kinsmen Bonspiel is taking place at the Harriston Arena on March 25th running throughout the day all in the name of supporting the community. Zach Leslie says the Bonspiel has been going on annually for years with the same message everytime
“Honestly the story behind is we’re just trying to raise money for the community, every dollar we raise we put back into the Minto community its been something going on for more than 20 years.” said Leslie.
16 teams are being taken in for three 6 end games with teams of 4. The cost to enter is $160 per team. Leslie says where this money goes back is on different items brought to their attention such as supporting Jasper More and his trip to Italy for treatment with MPS VI
“Couple of other things for this year like Jasper More donations to get his treatment in Italy. That’s where some of the money goes from events like this.”
