Exeter Shaping Up for Mural as Part of County Mural Project

The Town of Exeter is among those in Huron County selected to have a mural as part of the county’s mural project.

The mural is going to pay to some of the biggest features of the town including the Ausable River, the turtles in the river, white squirrels and more to capture as much as possible of the community.

Laura Connolly with the Exeter BIA says this will make a great addition and grow the area further.

“We’re always happy to have people stop by, maybe it just creates a little bit more interest in what’s going on. The mural will be very colourful, we have a heavily yellow brick community as the most with other small towns in Huron County. Kind of just add a little bit of POW” said Connolly.

The next steps for the committee is to engage with the public and have residents provide their input. A meeting will be held on March 16th at the Exeter Library from 6:30-7:30pm.

Work on the mural is expected to start in late spring. Wingham, Bayfield, Seaforth and Clinton were among those also chosen for a mural.
