Huron County is set to launch an app this fall to allow users to find, support and redeem local.
The Taste of Huron app will allow residents to earn and redeem points at local businesses with the help of 468Insider.
The app rewards users for supporting small business by earning points as they shop and be able to redeem said points for special promotions or discounts.
Huron County has been approved for up to $10,000 from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Rural Economic Development grant program. This funding will help pay for the license and promotion of the app.
Economic Development Officer, Alex Ripley says there has been a lot of interest from the business community who see’s the Taste of Huron app being a great success.
