Takeout Tuesday was a great success for Salvation Army

Program was extended by 1 month and gave out nearly 2400 meals

 

The Salvation Army announced today that they just completed their takeout Tuesday program.

The program saw almost 2400 meals distributed at no charge on Tuesdays to those facing food insecurity.

The program was actually extended one additional month and saw their final budget almost doubled.

The program is funded by the United Way Perth Huron, the Salvation Army as well as being gifted donations by 2 local businesses and an additional Agri Food grant that made the expansion and continuation of the program possible.
