It’s another boost for the construction of the new Mount Forest Outdoor Pool.
T.D Smith Transport has made a $500,000 donation to the Mount Forest Aquatics Ad-Hoc Advisory Committee for the work on the new pool.
The new pool will be on Princess Street, adjacent to the Mount Forest and District Sports Complex which has a $2.5 million fundraising goal and once the target has been met, next steps in the construction will take place.
Sherry Burke, Chair of the Mount Forest Aquatics Ad-Hoc Advisory Committee says the new outdoor pool will be an accessible community hub where residents of all ages and abilities can come together, stay active and enjoy the benefits of swimming and water activities for many years.
With the donation, the facility will now be named the T.D Smith Aquatic Centre when it officially opens.
