An urgent appeal for funds from the Humane Society of Kitchener-Waterloo and Stratford-Perth came out to a major success.
On Monday the humane society made the call for action to raise up to $5500 to help one year Sylvia who was found with a deep cut on her paw and a dislocated hip.
Within 4.5 hours of the call, over $7000 was raised.
Sylvia has also found a foster home where she will receive physical therapy for a few weeks at which she will then be ready for adoption.
