There is support from those within the Stratford community to allow short-term rental accommodations in Stratford’s residential neighborhoods.
This directive from the City’s Tourism Agency Destination Stratford is ahead of a special council meeting on the finalizing of the draft of the comprehensive zoning bylaw in the near future.
The support is in response to growing demand for accommodations that offer the privacy and amenities only found in full residences and not single hotel style rooms.
There are concerns Stratford may not be able to keep pace with the growth of tourism if regulations aren’t modified to reflect the reality of the market.
