COVID-19 vaccinations will not be mandatory for Stratford city workers according to officials.

Stratfords policy falls on employees, volunteers and contractors to show proof of vaccination by October 22nd.

Those who not disclose their vaccine status or choose to not be vaccinated before the deadline will need to attend an education session about the benefits of vaccination.

The introduction of the policy is in hopes to encourage those who aren’t yet vaccinated to do so.

While council did discuss the policy back and forth the motion was successfully passed to expand the policy to included councilors.
