Stratford Transit Introducing Mobile Payment for Transit

Beginning on July 18th, users will be able to pay their Stratford Transit fares from their mobile device.

Beginning on July 18th, Stratford Transit will introduce its additional option to pay Transit fares, by using a mobile device.

The HotSpot app, which is the app currently used for parking in the City, will now include an option to pay for your Transit fares.

You will also be able to purchase monthly passes from your mobile phone using a major credit card.

Fares that will be available to purchase through the HotSpot app beginning July 18th are:

  • Single ride (Adult, Senior, Student, Affordable) – plus $0.20 convenience fee per ride
  • Day pass – plu7s $0.50 convenience fee per pas
  • Family pass – plus $0.75 convenience fee per pass

Although the new option of using your mobile device is being introduced, paper passes or tickets will still be available to purchase, and cash will always be accepted.
