Stratford tourism businesses will be receiving a much needed boost from a $5 million investment from the federal government.
The chunk of funding is part of the $65.8 million the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario is giving to Indigenous Tourism Ontario and 11 regional tourism organizations in the province.
RTO4, a non profit which manages tourism in Waterloo as well as Perth, Huron and Wellington Counties will be responsible for giving out funds in the region starting Tuesday.
More information about eligibility and applications can be found from RTO4.ca.
