The City of Stratford has recently signed an agreement to make money by people just sitting around.
The Municipality approved a decade-long agreement with Creative Outdoor Advertising that will see about 20 transit benches outfitted with advertising installed in Stratford at no cost to the city.
The firm, which is based north of Toronto, will also cover the cost of maintenance on the benches.
The City will have a say on the locations with locations recommended by the company and approved by the Stratford Transit Manager.
The deal is expected to net the city about $17,000 per year.
