Stratford council is looking to continue their part in the cities fight against climate change.
Council has voted to set emissions reduction targets of 30 per cent by 2030 and to reach net-zero by 2050.
Council has also adopted Perth County’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Plan.
The plan includes goals and actions needed to reduce carbon dioxide and other emissions caused by transportation, waste systems and industrial buildings.
Targets for emissions will be reviewed by staff every year and updates will be made as necessary under the direction of council.
