The City of Stratford is in mourning after the passing of former councilor Dave Gaffney.
Gaffney passed away on Monday who was a dedicated community supporter, serving on city council from 2006-2010 and again from 2018-2022 as well as a member on the Stratford Police Services Board.
In a statement, the city says over the years Gaffney volunteered for a number of community organizations, city committees and boards including the YMCA of Stratford-Perth, the Stratford and District Agricultural Society, Bard of Avon Housing Co-operative and many more.
The flag on top of city hall and the community flag have both been lowered to half mast.
