The City of Stratford is being recognized by the Share the Road Cycling Coalition with a mention as part of the Bicycle Friendly Communities award program.
The program has been in Canada since 2010 which provides guidance and recognition for communities who get actively involved with cyclists.
Stratford council is working towards integrating cyclists and pedestrians as part of their transportation master plan such as more bike lanes and multi-use trails in Stratford.
Many additions to include cyclists has been helped by committees such as Cycle Stratford and Huron-Perth Public Health
