St Marys General Hospital Adjusts Visitor Policy

Patients will be able to see visitors more frequently

 

The St Marys General Hospital is adjusting its visitor policy.

Since the pandemic, protocols in hospitals have been very strict which has caused strain on nurses, patients and those wanting to visit their loved ones in hospital.

Changes at the St Marys General will allow patients to see visitors more often, though the hospital has said there should only be one visitor per patient throughout the course of their stay.

New safety measures will also be used such a “Wayfinder” positions to ensure limited interaction from staff and visitors.
