Message of the month applies for reporting suspicious activity

Stratford Police, St Marys and Perth South continue to improve on community safety and well being, more so this month with Stratford Police’s tip of the month “See Something, Say Something!”

The message applies to the reporting of any suspicious activity.

The message stands for any activity such as theft, talking with your children about bullying at school and looking at signs if someone you know is a victim of abuse and knowing who to call.

Is it an Emergency?
Call 911!
Is this a situation in which someone’s safety or property is at an immediate risk of harm?
 Assault in progress, or about to occur
 Damage being caused to property, or a Break and Enter in progress
 Medical Emergency
 Fire

Non-Emergency Situations
Call the non-emergency number at 519-271-4141 (Extension #2 goes directly to a
dispatcher)
 Reporting a Theft after the fact
 Reporting of Property Crime
 Reporting any other criminal act after the fact, when safety is not at immediate
risk
 Reporting other incidents requiring police intervention when safety is not at
immediate risk
