Stratford Police is reminding residents in Stratford, St Marys as well as Perth South to register their cameras or doorbell camera with SCRAM.

The Security Camera Registry and Mapping (SCRAM) program is a community based crime prevention opportunity which has business and residents register their cameras.

The program allows either a business or residential home to mark their location and to have said area mapped on a database of surveillance for officers to quickly and effectively direct resources when investigating criminal offenses in neighborhoods.

Police are still required to request permission to use any security cameras for investigation and do not monitor your cameras if you are registered.

Cameras can be registered from Stratford’s website.
