Stratford Police Investigating Early Morning Incidents

Stratford Police are looking into two early morning incidents in the city.

On June 27th at around 3:30am, Stratford Police received a call from a victim saying he had been chased by two men carrying knives.

The victim says he was approached by two males on West Gore Street in the area of Dufferin and Railway in Stratford.

The suspects confronted the victim about stealing a bike with both suspects pulling out a knife.

One male was described as older with grey hair riding a grey mountain bike with a mud flap with the other looking to be younger also on a mountain bike. Both were wearing grey t-shirts but no other description was obtained.

At 4:15 a.m. the Stratford Police received another call regarding an assault that
occurred in the area of the bus depot on Downie Street.

The victim in this matter reported they were confronted by five teenagers including
four males and one female.

All five were described as Caucasian, with the female wearing a red shirt and one of the males wearing a dark blue or black hoodie.

The male was
attacked when he attempted to move a bike he found abandoned
in the middle of Downie Street.

The attack resulted in minor injuries and the victim was transported to hospital for treatment.

It’s is unknown if these two incidents are related.
