Stratford Police identify Hit & Run driver who Hit Pole in Stratford last Saturday

Incident was on Ontario Street in the area of Queen Street in Stratford. Driver of Toyota Matrix who went off the road and struck a pole turned himself into police on February 7th.

 

The Stratford Police have identified a hit & run driver involved in an incident last Saturday shortly before 1 am.

Police were called to Ontario Street in the area of Queen Street in Stratford.

A vehicle that was identified as a Toyota Matrix had gone off the road, struck a pole and left the scene without reporting it to police.

On the evening of Tuesday, February 7th the driver of the vehicle contacted police to turn themselves in.

The 20-year-old male of Stratford was issued an offence notice for failing to report an accident.

Police remind residents that it is requirement to report a collision in which over $2,000 in damage has been caused, or a person was injured.
