Stratford Police announced via Twitter they will not do random checks

City joins long list of forces not enforcing that aspect of new restrictions

There were new health restrictions introduced by the Province yesterday in efforts to battle the rising tide of cases of Covid-19 across the Province. One of the changes was increasing the power for police where officers can legally stop individuals on the street and in vehicles and question their leaving of their homes.

There have been multiple Police agencies that have come out to clarify that they will not be actively enforcing this element of the new restrictions.
