Given the popularity of a recent Household Hazardous Waste collection event in Stratford last weekend, the city is looking to adding more for residents.
Last week a total of 20,500 kilograms of corrosive, explosive, flammable and poisonous materials were collected and diverted from the landfill.
Crews were kept busy with nearly 500 vehicles stopping by for the day leading to long lineups.
Officials are working with the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks to amend the Environmental Compliance Approval which sets the days and times when household hazardous waste can be collected.
