The Stratford Concert Choir announced that as of January 2022 they will have a new Interim Artistic Director who replaces Ian Sadler who held the post for 32 years.
Brian Wismath will take his place and has a long history as a music director, performer and teacher.
He studied music at Queen’s University earning a masters degree in choral conducting at the University of Arizona in Tucson.
He then spent a year in Stockholm at the Royal College of Music. He then spent time in Victoria athe the Conservatory of Music directing 5 different choirs as well as the Victoria Civic Orchestra.
He’s a recipient of the Herbert Drost Award from the BC Choral Federation.
