Stolen Vehicle Leads to Fentanyl, Meth and Weapons Charges

Both held for a bail hearing

On December 23rd just before 10am, West Grey Police Services received a call about a delivery truck that was stolen on Garafraxa Street in Durham.

The stolen vehicle eventually lost control and crashed into a property on Saddler Street East in Durham. Two suspects attempted to flee, community members were able to hold down one suspect as police arrived. Police searched and later arrested the second suspect.

A 32 year old from Owen Sound is facing charges including theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 and possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking.

A 29 year old from Owen Sound faces a slew of charges including two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, theft of a motor vehicle and possession of methamphetamine.
