With the lockdown coming this Saturday, Town of Minto Mayor George Bridge and CAO Derrik Thomson spoke to their residents about said lockdown and updates regarding COVID-19 within Minto.

As cases rise and we soon face lockdown, Jessica Martin for Minto Mental Health says there are many things we can do to stop the spread of COVID-19 while staying positive

“Adjust your expectations, celebrations this time will be different. Find joy in how you can celebrate this year. Maybe its a virtual dinner, maybe its playing virtual games online with friends and family. We have the technology so utilize that to try to stay connected.” said Martin

Among many studies, the biggest drop during the lockdown in March was peoples mental health. The province wide lockdown takes effect as of midnight on boxing day.
