Local state of emergencies which have been in place since March 2020 continue to drop.

This includes in Hanover which earlier this week lifted its state of emergency which was first issued on March 30th two years ago.

The decision to have the state was to allow the town more flexibility to tap into resources and share the importance of public health measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Mayor Sue Paterson in a release saying with the end of the emergency, its a sign the end of the pandemic is in sight.
