With the extra layer of snow on the ground, its got many enjoying what winter activities they can, including snowmobiling.
St Marys recently kicked off an education and enforcement plan to address the recent complaints from residents about the use of snowmobiles on trails which are meant to be used only for pedestrians.
Town officials and Stratford police are reminding riders of the bylaws in place as well as the use of snowmobiles not being permitted on pedestrian trails such as the Riverview Walkway, Grand Trunk Trail, Taylor Trail and Avon Trail.
Stratford Police will be talking with local snowmobile clubs about speed limits and other laws on trails as approved by the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs.
