The Spring Rural Romp is returning this month with Taste Real with multiple stops across northern Wellington County.
The romp on May 30th is a self guided tour across farms, nurseries and local food spots across Minto, Mapleton and Wellington North.
Heather Vasey, Economic Development Coordinator with Wellington County says the rural romp goes great to support farmers and the local businesses who utilize local farm grown goods.
“We have some cafes that work with local farmers to put things on their menus, it’s a great opportunity to speak directly to the business owners and learn more about agriculture here.” said Vasey.
A treasure hunt contest is also taking place along the way as locations part of the Rural Romp will have Taste Real signs and a QR code to scan with a trivia question to answer.
Every location is a new question and increased chances to win one of three $100 gift certificates to a Taste Real partner business.
