Now into October, Perth County has opened up the next wave of applications for the Stewardship Program.
This current application period is set for the Spring 2026 Intake.
The program is open for private landowners and community groups for various projects such as tree planting and forest management plans.
These types of projects can help adapt to changes in weather patterns and climactic shifts by sequestering carbon and add resiliency to the landscape during extreme weather events.
Various streams are available include landowner, community, woodland and the new living snow fence.
Applications will close January 30th with grants being awarded in February.
