Southwestern Ontario Greeted to Floods and Power Outages

Hydro One doesn't have exact estimate for power restoration

Residents across Southwestern Ontario may wake up to a flooded basement and/or be without power for a chunk of the morning following the recent storm.

The Grand River Conservation Authority has ruled a flood warning for residents in New Hamburg, Ayr and Drayton. The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority ruled a flood warning Wednesday afternoon with the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority ruling a flood warning last night.

The Maitland Conservation Authority has not yet ruled a warning nor do officials believe it will be necessary.

Those not experiencing flooding may be without power as Hydro One reports thousands of customers without power across Perth, Huron, Wellington, Bruce and Grey County’s

There isn’t an estimated restore time for specific regions with the exception of Holmesville which is slotted at 10am.
