South Huron OPP Investigating Two Serious Collisions

Huron County OPP are investigating two serious collisions in South Huron which occurred this past Friday.

At around 6pm, OPP responded alongside Huron County Emergency Paramedic Services to Dashwood Road, just east of Dashwood with two motorcycles who were traveling together were on their way to Grand Bend with both heading westbound when the lead motorcycle operator braked and was hit by the 2nd motorcycle.

This caused the operator of the second to lose control and impact the roadway, fracturing their leg.

The 44-year-old was taken to hospital and then to London by Air Ornge with non-life-threatening injuries.

The second incident was a single-vehicle collision on Crediton Road near Bronson Line around 10:45 pm.

The lone driver was reportedly trapped with a serious injury.

Emergency responders were able to free the driver and they were taken to hospital.

Both incidents remain under investigation as alcohol may have been a factor.
