South Bruce OPP were joined alongside West Region OPP’s Tactical Rescue Unit, OPP Emergency Response Team and the Community Street Crimes Unit to execute a search warrant at a residence on Amelia Street in Walkerton.
In the search, police seized a quantity of Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Oxycodone, Lysergic Acid and Ecstasy.
The value of the substances is estimated at $192,340. Police also seized Canadian currency, cell phones, scales, a handgun, replica shotgun and 2 replica handguns.
3 residents were all given charges including a 40 year old from Brockton with
- Possession of Fentanyl for the purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Methamphetamine for the purpose of Trafficking
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Possess a firearm contrary to a Prohibition order
- Careless use of a firearm
- Possessing a Prohibited or Restricted firearm
-Possessing a Prohibited Weapon
A 63 year old from Brockton
- Possession of Fentanyl for the purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Methamphetamine for the purpose of Trafficking
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Careless use of a firearm
- Possessing a Prohibited or Restricted firearm
Possessing a Prohibited Weapon
A 24 year old from Brockton
- Possession of Fentanyl for the purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Methamphetamine for the purpose of Trafficking
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Careless use of a firearm
- Possessing a Prohibited or Restricted firearm
- Possessing a Prohibited Weapon
All 3 were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
