Snowmobile Stolen & One Charged After Shoplifting Incident both in North Perth

Suspect in Shoplifting was Arrested after Brief Chase. Snowmobile still remains outstanding after theft.

The Perth County OPP were busy last Thursday investigating reports of a shoplifting incident and investigating the theft of a Snowmobile from a Farm Property during a B&E both in North Perth.

Just before 1:30pm officers were called to a business on Mitchell Road South in Listowel after a person was witnessed shoplifting. The suspect then fled the store and tried to get into a moving vehicle. The suspect was observed by officers, and after a brief foot pursuit, was put under arrest. A 35 year old male of Puslinch Township has been charged with theft under $5,000, mischief and failure to comply with a two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

Officers also responded to a report of a break and enter at a farm property on Perth Line 86, just east of Listowel. The suspect had broken into a farm building and sheds, and stole a black 2001 Ski-Doo MXZ, valued at $3500.

It was the only item stolen.
