The SIU has closed an investigation into an alleged assault by a Stratford Police Officer.
The incident dates back to June of last year during the arrest of a 47 year old man.
The 47 year old alleged his rib was fractured during his arrest but did not make himself available for an interview or authorize the release of medical records.
SIU Director Joseph Martino says video footage captured of the incident on police body cam suggest the man’s arrest was uneventful.
There was no evidence of a serious injury occurring and the SIU was without jurisdiction in the case and the file has been closed.
