Given the coming winter storm, Perth County has declared a Significant Weather Event.
As of 8:30 this morning the declaration applies to all County roads and does not apply to local township roads or provincial highways.
John McClelland, Executive Director of Public Works says the coming weather system is anticipated to bring heavy amounts of snow in a short period of time with gusty winds.
All non essential travel in the county is strong discouraged and those who must travel are asked to leave with plenty of time ahead and given snow plows extra space to work.
