Search Warrants Result in 5 Arrested for Drug Trafficking

On Thursday October 27th members of Huron County OPP, West Region Emergency Response Team and Huron-Perth’s Community Street Crime Unit executed search warrants at two separate residences in Vanastra.

The search turned up quantities of suspected Fentanyl, Methamphetamine and Hydromorphone. The combined street value of the seized substances is estimated at $38,480.

Also seized included cell phones, $1500 in Canadian currency, a pellet rifle, pellet pistol, air soft pistol, ammunition, brass knuckles and various knives and throwing stars.

As a result of the search warrant, 5 people were arrested, each facing a variety of charges

A 44 year old from Huron East

  • Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Fentanyl
  • Possession of Hydromorphone

A 44 year old from Huron East

  • Possession of Fe ntanyl for the Purposes of Trafficking
  • Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purposes of Trafficking
  • Possession of Hydromorphone for the Purposes of Trafficking

A 46 year old from Huron East

  • Possession of Fentanyl for the Purposes of Trafficking
  • Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purposes of Trafficking
  • Possession of Hydromorphone for the Purposes of Trafficking
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon
  • Possession of Ammunition Contrary to a Prohibition Order
  • Possession of a Prohibited Weapon Contrary to a Prohibition Order

A 43 year old of No Fixed Address

  • Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Posse ssion of Fentanyl
  • Possession of Hydromorphone

All will appear in Goderich court at a later date
